What We Do

LeadingAge South Carolina represents not-for-profit organizations and providers serving over 10,000 older adults in South Carolina through community-based retirement communities, residential care facilities, senior housing and nursing homes, as well as through home care and hospice services. Our emphasis on care is based on the needs of South Carolina's aging population and on providing services to help our state's seniors maintain dignity and achieve the highest quality of life possible.

As part of our membership, Leading Age South Carolina offers:

  • Publications to keep members up-to-date on state matters, as well as national highlights, member news, Association events, legislative issues and other items of interest in the field.
  • Legislative Efforts to represent the Association's concerns and needs at the state capitol. Not only is the voice of Leading Age South Carolina heard, but members are also informed of current issues and legislation.
  • Educational Seminars to keep our members abreast of all of the latest information, methods and technology in the senior care industry.
  • Professional Fellowship with colleagues during meetings and seminars provides the opportunity to discuss common problems and concerns and to learn from one another.
  • Association Directory to provide quick access to important information for our members, such as phone numbers of fellow members, committee composition, and great resources for products and services through Leading Age South Carolina's business partners.
