Merietta McKenzie

Through her leadership and understanding of community needs, she creates meaningful experiences that enhance quality of life and foster connection.

Excellence in Caring Award – Caregiver

The Excellence in Caring Award for a Caregiver honors individuals whose compassion extends beyond duty and whose care reflects empathy, professionalism, and commitment to resident well-being.

Cessandra Carter

Laurel Crest Retirement Community

Innovation of the Year Award

The Innovation of the Year Award recognizes an individual or organization that has introduced a creative program, service, or approach that improves the lives of older adults and advances excellence in aging services.

Kerri Ridlehoover

Saluda Nursing & Rehab

Kerri Ridlehoover is recognized for her innovative work advancing Certified Nursing Assistant professional development through a creative Action Learning Project. Her efforts have opened new pathways for frontline caregivers by supporting leadership development, specialized training, and stronger opportunities for growth.

Volunteer Service Award

The Volunteer Service Award honors individuals whose extraordinary dedication and generosity of spirit enrich the lives of residents and strengthen their communities.

Bill Hurtes

Bishop Gadsden Retirement Community

Bill Hurtes is recognized for more than 15 years of dedicated volunteer service and for the warmth, consistency, and joy he brings to residents at Bishop Gadsden Retirement Community. Through his kindness and commitment, he has helped create meaningful moments of connection and a stronger sense of community.
