Call for Nominations

Every day, remarkable people across South Carolina bring compassion, leadership, and innovation to aging services. LeadingAge South Carolina’s Stars Among Us Awards celebrate the individuals, teams, and programs making a meaningful difference in the lives of older adults.

Now is the time to recognize the stars in your community. Nominate a dedicated caregiver, an inspiring leader, an exceptional colleague, a committed volunteer, a valued business partner, or an innovative program. You may submit multiple nominations; please use a separate form for each nominee.

Award Categories

Recognize excellence in one of seven categories. Please review the brochure for complete eligibility requirements and supporting materials.

• Award of Honor
  Recognizes unique or exceptional contributions to LeadingAge South Carolina and lasting excellence in aging services.
• Business Member of the Year Award
  Honors a business member whose involvement, support, and service contribute to the Association and its members.
• Excellence in Caring Award – Caregiver
  Celebrates a caregiver who exceeds expectations in delivering quality resident care and demonstrates exceptional professional and interpersonal skills.
• Excellence in Caring Award – Support & Service Staff
  Recognizes a support or service staff member whose outstanding work makes a meaningful difference in their community.
• Innovation of the Year Award
  Highlights an innovative program or service that enhances quality of life in long-term care or senior housing.
• Outstanding Leader Award
  Honors leadership through vision, service, mentoring, and commitment to older adults, at any level of an organization.
• Volunteer Service Award
  Celebrates an individual or group that generously contributes time, talent, and resources to a member organization.

How to Submit a Nomination

Individuals, organizations, and groups are encouraged to submit nominations. Complete a separate nomination form for each entry and include:

• A completed nomination form
• A cover letter explaining why the nominee should be considered
• Letters of recommendation and supporting materials required for the award category

Share specific examples that demonstrate the nominee’s impact. Review the award criteria carefully, including employment requirements and any required letters of support.

All entries must be received or postmarked by midnight on Wednesday, November 18, 2026.
