2026 Stars Among Us Awards

Each year, LeadingAge South Carolina honors the individuals and teams who exemplify excellence, compassion, and innovation in aging services. The Stars Among Us Awards celebrate those who lead with purpose and elevate the quality of life for older adults across our state — from dedicated caregivers and visionary leaders to volunteers and business partners who make a lasting impact every day.

The 2026 awards program invites members to recognize the remarkable people and programs shaping a stronger, more compassionate future for aging in South Carolina. All nominees will be honored during the 2026 Annual Conference & Trade Show.

Award Categories

  • Award of Honor – Recognizing exceptional service and lasting impact within LeadingAge South Carolina.
  • Business Member of the Year – Honoring business partners who go above and beyond in support and collaboration.
  • Excellence in Caring (Caregiver) – Celebrating caregivers who provide extraordinary quality and compassion in care.
  • Excellence in Caring (Support & Service Staff) – Recognizing staff whose daily work enhances community life.
  • Innovation of the Year – Highlighting creative programs or services improving the lives of older adults.
  • Outstanding Leader Award – Honoring those who inspire, mentor, and drive meaningful change in aging services.
  • Volunteer Service Award – Celebrating individuals or groups who give selflessly for the benefit of their community.

How to Submit a Nomination

Individuals, organizations, or groups are encouraged to submit nominations for the award categories. Please use a separate form for each nomination and include:

  • A completed nomination form
  • A cover letter explaining why the nominee should be considered
  • Letters of recommendation and supporting materials

All entries must be received or postmarked by Thursday, December 4, 2025.
